How to Reach Margarita Village

Kalpitiya is about 2.5–3 hours from Colombo airport. Already from this journey, you start to feel you are not going to a typical tourist destination.

Private driver (recommended) — Easiest option, especially if you travel with kite gear. We can organise it for you from the airport.

By bus — Airport → Katunayake Junction → bus to Puttalam → tuk-tuk to Kalpitiya (3,500–4,500 LKR, ~40 min). Budget option, part of the adventure.

Tuk-tuk from Negombo — A slower, more adventurous start to the trip. Some travellers love this option.
